Cloud video surveillance
for remote sites
If you’re looking for cloud video surveillance for your remote site or premises, then you’re in the right place.
Videoloft specialises in cloud-based video surveillance solutions that are perfect for remote locations.
Why is cloud CCTV important for remote site security?
Remote sites present a unique set of security challenges. They’re regularly targeted by intruders because there are so few eyes on the ground, similarly, they often include expensive machinery or assets which are appealing to thieves.
Cloud based, remote video surveillance enables security and site managers to keep the property secure and safe, with minimal effort. All you need is the Videoloft Cloud Adapter, the bridging device that will connect your security cameras to the cloud.

Features of Videoloft's remote video surveillance solution
Secure offsite backup
Unlike traditional systems, cloud systems aren’t vulnerable to theft or damage to the onsite recorder. Using a cloud based video surveillance solution means that the footage is always there, when it’s needed.
Network outage protection
If there is a network outage or the internet connection is interrupted, video will be locally stored to the Videoloft Cloud Adapter and uploaded to the cloud when the network is restored.
Remote video access
Your footage is accessible from anywhere, on any device. The Videoloft platform can provide round-the-clock monitoring and allows footage to be viewed from any location.
Remote camera controls
Remotely control your cameras including setting up motion detection zones and adjusting camera sensitivity. Furthermore, if there are any PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras on site, they can also be remotely controlled using the mobile app.

Remote cloud video surveillance FAQs
Do I need a stable internet connection to back up my footage to the cloud?
At Videoloft we understand that many remote sites don’t have the infrastructure in place to support an internet connection. Videoloft will work without wired internet, you can run on a 4G modem or router and record directly to the cloud. Videoloft also has network outage protection - if there is a network outage, video is stored locally on the Cloud Adapter and is uploaded to the cloud once network is restored.
Is Videoloft compatible with Starlink?
Videoloft is fully compatible with Starlink. Starlink is a high-speed, low-latency broadband internet service for remote and rural locations across the world.
Will I be alerted if there is any suspicious activity detected at my remote site?
Traditional CCTV systems don’t have alerts, such as motion detection, built in. Videoloft comes with motion detection alerts as standard, enabling site managers to be instantly notified of security threats as and when they take place. What’s more, if the camera has speaker and microphone functionality, security managers can use the two-way audio feature to deter or disperse unwanted visitors from the monitored site.
