Transform your surveillance system into a Hikvision cloud VMS (Video Management System) with Videoloft.

Videoloft is a cloud video surveillance platform that adds secure, offsite backup and storage to legacy & new Hikvision camera installations via the Videoloft Cloud Adapter.

By using Videoloft you’ll be able to view all your Hikvision cameras in one easy to use platform, as well as have the ability to view footage via a local live monitor, via the Videoloft iOS and Android apps, or the browser-based web viewer.

Videoloft adds sophisticated features to even the most basic of Hikvision cameras – such as analytics, multi-user permissions, remote camera control and time lapse.

Our Cloud Adapter is available in an 8 or 16 channel version and there’s an Enterprise rack mounted solution for larger installations.

How Hikvision cloud storage works

Use our website to create your cloud plan - choose camera count, resolution, and cloud storage duration.

Step 1

We'll send you a Cloud Adapter. It takes just minutes to install via our website, or mobile app.

Step 2

View your camera's live streams and recorded footage 24/7 using the Videoloft web viewer, or mobile app.

Step 3

Backup your Hikvision NVR/DVR to the cloud, or replace it completely

Whether you’re looking to record straight to the cloud, or add cloud backup to your local Hik vision storage, we can help!

Videoloft removes the need for a local NVR – simplifying the installation, saving space on-site and removing the risk of your recorder being damaged or tampered with.

Alternatively, you may still want to keep your Hikvision NVR/DVR and back-up your recorder to the cloud. It takes minutes to set up – all you need to do is connect the Videoloft Cloud Adapter to the same network as your recorder.

Your cloud storage set up options

  1. Back up your local Hikvision NVR or DVR
backup recorder to cloud

2. Or record from Hikvision IP cameras straight to cloud!

Cloud FAQs

What Hikvision camera and recorder models are supported by Videoloft ?

We’ve done a full integration with Hikvision’s API meaning we can support almost all models of Hikvision IP cameras, NVRs and DVRs. The only models we’ve tested that aren’t compatible are the Hikvision doorbell cameras.

How is Videoloft different from Hik Connect?

The Hikvision app known as Hikvision Connect, connects to the local storage on the camera or recorder. Videoloft, on the other hand, transmits and stores video via the cloud, so if your local storage is tampered with or destroyed, the recorded footage is still accessible via the Videoloft cloud. Not only this, Videoloft offers additional features that aren’t in the HikConnect app, including:

  • Remote viewing of live and upto 4k recorded video
  • Simultaneous multi-site access for an unlimited number of users

How do I connect Hikvision CCTV to cloud?

Security - our number one priority

Video encryption

Video files are transmitted over encrypted TLS (HTTPS) channels and are stored at rest in AWS servers using 256-bit encryption.

External security validation

Videoloft commission regular external penetration tests to review the end-to-end platform security protocols.

Continuous updates

The Videoloft Cloud Adapter software is regularly updated, providing security improvements as well as new features & functionality.

Password encryption

The users’ Videoloft account password is stored at rest in AWS servers using 256-bit AES encryption, and during password verification it is sent over encrypted TLS channels. When cameras/recorders are paired with the Videoloft cloud, their passwords are encrypted in transit via AES-256. They are then stored on the Videoloft Cloud Adapter, encrypted using AES-128, and are never transmitted outside of the local network.
