Does Smart Motion replace standard motion detection?
No – standard motion detection is still available, but Smart Motion gives you a far more intelligent layer of insight. Instead of reacting to any movement, it recognises and tracks people and moving vehicles, helping you cut through noise and focus on meaningful activity.
Will Smart Motion work with my existing cameras?
Yes, Smart Motion will work with almost any camera. As long as your cameras are connected to Videoloft, you can add Smart Motion without replacing any hardware.
How much does Smart Motion cost?
Smart Motion is a low cost add-on, charged at $1.79/£1.49 per camera, per month. You can enable it only on the cameras that need it, making it an affordable way to add intelligent object detection to your system.
Does it use more bandwidth?
No. Smart Motion doesn’t increase bandwidth usage. It analyzes the video that’s already being streamed to the cloud – no additional video is uploaded.
Is Smart Motion available on all plans?
Yes – Smart Motion is offered as a low-cost add-on and can be added to any compatible Videoloft camera. You can apply it to as many or as few cameras as you like.
